OS 3.2 is only available on iPad. OS 4 is for iPhone. OS 3.2 includes ability for applications (other than the built-in youtube/ipod functions) to do TV OUT. This will open the way for iPhone to actually be useful for presentations as well as the whiteboard idea mooted above. I am sure there will be a plethora of apps doing this very soon.
